Day 2: Full Day Hanoi City Tour including Duong Lam
Morning, we leave Hanoi to visit Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red. Explore villages where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys; visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Have some talks with the locals in their ancient houses by visiting the ancient houses there. We leave Duong Lam village – one of the oldest villages in Vietnam with understanding deeply about the hard farmers. Lunch at a local house with traditional Vietnamese food, this allows you to experience the true atmosphere and taste as you savor this wonderful Vietnamese dish in its most traditional form for meals of Vietnamese normal life. After lunch, drive back Hanoi to visit Thang Long Royal Citadel (NEW) has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). Temple of Literature is Vietnam's first university, was established within the temple in 1076 to educate the mandarin class. The university functioned for more than 700 years, from 1076 to 1779 during which a good number of 2,313 doctors graduated. Then, stop to visit Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.
Day 3: Full Day Tam Coc - Bich Dong - Hoa Lu
Morning, meet our guide and transfer to Ninh Binh province - located 110km from Hanoi to the South, Tam Coc cave may be one of the most spectacular sights in Vietnam. Along the Hoang Long River, vast limestone cliffs rise out of the rice paddies make Tam Coc somehow similar to Halong Bay, thus Tam Coc is also called Halong Bay – on-land. A river trip to Tam Coc and through three caves of Tam Coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local residents come to harvest the rice planted along the river or when they transplant seeding for the next crop. Next to Tam Coc is Hoa Lu, the relics of the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. What remains are temples dedicated to the two heroes: King Dinh and King Le whom chosen to build the citadel of the capital city. Though the temples are not wholly maintained, some precious antiques are still preserved well like the whole-stone dragon thrones; wooden has-relieves and lacquered statues of King Dinh, Kinh Le and Queen Duong Van Nga who in turn got married to both of the Kings.
Day 4: Full Day Tour of Halong Bay
Morning, meet our guide at the hotel and transfer to Halong Bay, literally called Descending Dragon Bay, is the most wondrous of bays sculpted when an ancient dragon swished its immense tail. Vietnam’s most obvious attraction is Ha Long Bay, adjacent to the Gulf of Tonkin, and currently attracting nearly two million visitors each year. Despite its status as one of Vietnam’s busiest tourist centers, its enormous scale, unique geomorphology, and indisputable splendor makes a visit almost essential. Enjoy 04-hour cruise to visit islands and grottoes, leaving those that have been equipped with lights, walkways, refreshment stalls and souvenir shops to the tourists. The exceptions are Dau Go, a large cavern worth visiting for its grandeur, and Sung Sot, for its remarkable stalactites and stalagmites. Return back to Hanoi in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure from Hanoi
